Hallie was mostly okay last night, but kept me up a bunch in the 3-5 hours.  She woke up coughing a little and we had some worrisome moments, but in the end she went back to sleep and all was fine.

We ended up getting out of bed around 830, packed some more, and went for breakfast around 945.  Avery, Austin and Gabriella all came for breakfast.  It was sad to have our last breakfast.  We said goodbye to waiters Isaac and Hany and pop pop gave them tips.  Hany asked us where we were going for seder.  Tzvi just said “not here” and then pop pop said “you want us to tell you?”  The waiter didn’t press it.  Could’ve just said we’re going to stay with family.

After breakfast we really finished packing up (there was so much to pack!), waited a while for them to come get our bags, and then finally left the hotel to make yeridah to the Inbal.

We walked over to the Inbal, which was a short walk.  When we got there, there was a woman dressed in like an Egyptian outfit greeting people.  The hotel is actually very nice, and a lot more modern than the King David. Before going upstairs we sat down with the Matre Di to go over all of our meals. It proved quite difficult just going over how many people we were at each meal. Luckily, he said that they wouldn’t charge us for Gabriella’s meal because Avery is not going to be with us one night. After our conversation he told my mom to get some sleep. We all need some sleep. We went upstairs to our rooms where we obviously found issues. My parents had booked corner rooms for us and themselves and a regular room for the boys, but they also got a regular room, so we had to go through a whole thing trying to get the upgraded room (which they had paid for). Finally reception admitted they had made a mistake, but now they are all the way on the other end of the hall, which is way too far to just send Hallie down walking. Our rooms are bigger than the ones at the King David. I think God gave us the small rooms so we would really appreciate these Inbal rooms.

We were actually able to unpack everything, which took a long time. We walked to check out the dining room and found that our table is right next to Oliner.  We’re in the side room, not the main dining room, but Tzvi said if we wound up next to the mayor, we must not be doing too badly.  We checked out the pool, and then finally headed out for a bit.

We walked to Tachana Harishona, after a lot of back and forth with Tzvi yelling that everything’s going to be closed and why are we going (which in all fairness is what the concierge said), but we went and a few things were open. We took Hallie on the little carousel, which was fun for the first few minutes, but just went on and on and on.  Finally we told the guy we were done and he should stop the ride. We walked around trying to find something to eat but just ended up with a smoothie from Rebar.  We bought Hallie a little wooden giraffe toy at GAYA and then walked back to the hotel. Now we are praying Hallie naps as long as possible, and when she wakes up we’ll have to steam her. Oy the coughing.  Wish us luck over yuntev.

Chag sameach everyone!
